Kingston Systems: Automotive Assembly Line Development

Kingston Systems, Inc. (KSI) has, for a number of years been installing our patented 6 degree-of-freedom systems in automotive component assembly lines. In conjunction with a vision system to locate the part, we have been grabbing, positioning and retaining the part for welding to its mating part 1200 times an hour, 7 days a week for over 40,000 continuous hours.

The P - Series  Automotive Assembly

Our innovative, servo based, 6-axis solution has helped our customers to not only vastly improve their throughput, but to drastically increase overall part quality. Along with being a successful positioner, our system is so economic to maintain over the life of the assembly system that this customer is installing our equipment in its newer, less position intensive lines based solely on the low cost justification of operation and favorable amount of uptime in comparison with other automation equipment that they normally use.

Our engineering team has incorporated all types of assembly, testing and inspection techniques. We have built equipment for everything, from automotive electrical components to weatherstripping processing.
